Seattle - May 24, 2025 -- The energy was electric at the Rough and Tumble Pub in Seattle, where over 50 fans gathered for an official PWHL Finals Watch Party hosted by Women’s Pro Hockey Seattle and the pub. The event brought together passionate supporters of the league to watch Game 4 of the PWHL Finals between the Minnesota Frost and the Ottawa Charge.

Attendees were treated to a spirited atmosphere, complete with exclusive giveaways from Women’s Pro Hockey Seattle, Rough and Tumble Pub, and Togethxr. The pub, known for being a hub for women’s sports fans, was filled with cheers, camaraderie, and anticipation as fans watched the series heat up.

Game 4 of the best-of-five series did not disappoint. The Ottawa Charge, facing elimination, delivered a gritty performance against the Minnesota Frost. Minnesota entered the night with a 2–1 series lead and a chance to clinch the inaugural PWHL championship. But Ottawa had other plans. The Charge’s defensive pressure and timely scoring, including a key third-period goal, forced a decisive Game 5 with a 3–0 shutout victory. Ottawa goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer was outstanding between the pipes, keeping Minnesota off the board with a stellar performance.

The Seattle watch party reflected the growing enthusiasm for women’s professional hockey in the region. With Seattle expected to join the PWHL in the 2025 season, events like this are helping to build a strong foundation of community and support ahead of the team’s debut.

Women’s Pro Hockey Seattle and the Rough and Tumble Pub plan to continue hosting events leading up to the expansion draft and the official team launch, making it an exciting time to be a hockey fan in the Pacific Northwest.
