Granato Receives WoProHoSeattle Jersey



NHL Seattle pro scout and Hall of Famer, Cammi Granato, was in Seattle recently presenting on the ‘Science of Scouting,’ hosted by the Pacific Science Center in partnership with NHL Seattle and the Oak View Group. After the event, Granato received an honorary Women’s Pro Hockey Seattle jersey, with her name and number on the back, from Women’s Pro Hockey Seattle founder, ZoëHarris.


Granato said, “I look forward to the growth of women’s professional hockey and if you get the fans, I am sure a team will come.”


Granto is one of the first women to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November 2010 in Toronto – Canada. She currently works as a scout for the NHL Seattle organization. She was the captain of the U.S. women's hockey team that won a gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics. Granato is a graduate of Providence College played hockey for Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.


Granato has been a recipient of the Lester Patrick Award (2007), and she has been inducted into the International Hockey Hall of Fame (2008), the US Hockey Hall of Fame (2009) and the Hockey Hall of Fame (2010).
